The Hague Portrait Photographer

You might have seen Eva’s beautiful face from the shoots I did with her before. The first time I met her, was with her gorgeous family in The Hague, where we did a family shoot at the beach. The second time I met her, we did did a portrait shoot for her Yoga classes, in the dunes, at the beach. The third time we met, it was at her happy place we have now dubbed “Mermaid Beach”.

I think we can all safely say that Eva loves the beach, and if you ask me, she’s pretty much 1/4 mermaid.

Since the Coronavirus pandemic hit, everyone has been dealing with it in their own way. In early 2020, Eva decided to go for a morning swim in the ocean. She did it again the next day. And the day after that. It was an easy habit for her to keep up. This habit quickly became a ritual meditation and centering in a world gone mad.

For this shoot, we wanted to show her femininity and the freedom she experiences when she goes to this beach. It’s her happy place, where she can be vulnerable and stripped down, without fear of judgement.

I’m so happy to be able to work with beautiful people like Eva – and not just work, also become friends. We learn and support each other in our own ways, and I just couldn’t be more thankful <3
