When Ashleigh was booking me to be her and Ryan’s Amsterdam vacation photographer, she wanted to make it clear that even though they were looking for something different. Yes, ok, some typical Amsterdam scenery won’t hurt. But what they really wanted was the city portrayed in a different and modern way.

HUZZAH! It literally makes my heart flutter with the wings of a thousand butterflies when I hear this from clients. I then suggested that we start in the centre of Amsterdam. This covered some of that gorgeous Amsterdam scenery. Slowly but surely though, we moved towards NEMO, a science museum on the outskirts of the centre.

I love shooting at NEMO since it gives a very rare vantage point for the Netherlands: height! From here we had an amazing view over the city and the wind made form some epic pink hair swooshing. I enjoyed this.

So here’s my advice to you: if you’re planning on doing a shoot, trust your native photographer to take you somewhere unique. You will make them VERY happy, and the photos will always be incredible!
