It was and early summer’s morning when I met Laura, hot coffee in hand, in the Westerpark for her photoshoot. I met Laura at one of the many editions of Hearsay. Before we started talking, I always knew her as the girl with the excellent hair. Her hair, outfits and style were always on point, and when she smiled she just lit up the room.

That’s why I was so excited to get a message from Laura, asking me to take photos of the beautiful, sustainable t-shirts she is selling on her web shop. Along with some portraits to go on her social media and business website. While we were taking photos, Laura and I were talking a lot about toxic diet culture and how it has affected both our lives in different ways. She wrote a beautiful blog post about it HERE.

It’s always a treat to work with other creatives, since it feels like more of a collaboration instead of me just giving instructions. Laura had some amazing ideas for photos, and a natural way of being in front of the camera. I really enjoyed every minute of our photoshoot and honestly could have kept going for hours.

Along with some flowery photos in the Westerpark, we also hit the center of Amsterdam for some typical canal photos. This is one of my favorite areas in the ‘dam, and I’ve been missing it so much in these Covid times.
